My Isloated Ric Bass Track

Post by nextcliffburton »

Just got a recording of a live show my band did and I got the isolated bass track to share! FYI I had a few beers in me... and shots so I was a little sloppy but I got a good sound out of it! My band is called the Big Wheel Stunt Show out of Tacoma Washington.

Jake can you get that on SoundClick or something? I just don't do the download stuff. I'd love to hear it.

I like it! Very nice!
I have NO idea what to do with those skinny stringed things... I'm just a bass player...

Dude! That was awesome, although I have to say that the Rapidshare site is kind of a pain the a$$. There are quite a few music hosting sites out there that aren't nearly as 'recruitment centric." Some are posted here:

But onto the important stuff: That was really cool to hear! Outside of whatever spirits were imbibed in, I loved the energy jumping out of that recording. Great playing, too. Very Entwistlesque. I especially dug the part at the end where you kicked in the overdrive.

What was the tune, by the way? I heard some vocal harmonies bleeding through with the drums in a few places. You should post the full-band version of this tune sometime.

Update: Just for the hell of it, I ran this isolated track through my own amp and re-recorded it with a couple of mics on my 4x12 Hiwatt cab to add a little grit and room tone. What do you think, Jake?

Sorry it took so long to get back to this! That track sounds cool the way you remixed it. Alot more Grit forsure man!!!
Ya Rapidshare was the only website I could think of to upload this music. I'll try to post more full versions of songs we do, I'm still waiting for the rest of the tracks to be sent to us after being mixed. If you want to hear a full band version of that song check out this link, different recording fyi

Dang the overdriven part at the end of the recording sounds awesome man! I never would have thought to record it through another amp to do a lil remixing haha

Yeah, that overdrive is all you, man. I didn't add any extra distortion, but the signal was going through four 12AX7's between the line out and the cabinet. Tubes rule!

Cool to see and hear the whole song. You can hear the vocals a little better in this mix!
