380 L with piezo

Post by condo »

380 L with piezo ... what is the current value of one of these?
They have a wider neck right? what about the neck shape are they slim or fat? I prefer a beefier neck. Thanks

You will find some information in the appraisal section when you use the search function! Pretty hard to find, they don't show up too often.

Hard to guess in this market, maybe $2500? Big wide neck ,they sound great!

Craig Witty has one listed for sale (perhaps reluctantly) for $3,200 at www.coolguitarz.com.

Great guitar! Mine is not for sale.

I believe the last 380L PZ on eBay was in November of 2009 and it sold for $3000.

Here is one advertized as a non PZ version :

http://cgi.ebay.com/2005-Rickenbacker-L ... 35ad2b1cac

However , the ad picture shows two outputs so this seems to be a PZ version :?
I have both versions, one output on the L and two outputs on the L PZ version.
Maybe the seller has never looked if the batteries have any power... , or it's not the guitar shown in the pic... :( ,... or do exist normal versions with two outputs and if so.... what for ?
Carnival barking advertising anyhow....

I've had it about a week now. I like piezo sound very
Much. And the ability to blend the piezos with the regular magnets is pretty cool too.

I would SO LOVE to have a 380, with or wothout the piezo! Before I got Blondie, my mapleglo360, I considered saving for a 380, but as we all know, they're disconitnued, and they don't seem to be very common. :(

Oh man!! That is SO PAINFUL!! I ain't gots the money! :( I could get sort of close to a 380 soundwise, if I put the mini-buckers in my 360, but I also like the sound of the Hi-Gains! So, that's a no go. Oh well. I guess, I'll have to keep saving, and just look for a 380, when I have the cash.

I feel your pain. I love the looks of these, but haven't heard one. And although I have the money, I also don't "have" it in that it really needs to go to other things. It's that situation of the devil on one shoulder, angel on the other, both whispering in my ears

Really beautiful guitars, aren't they?

Yes they are! The walnut bodies look SO COOL! But, I'd really prefer to hear one before I consider saving a chunk 'o change for one. It would be more of an add-on than a "must have" for me guitar-wise, since my 360, my Reverend, and my Danelectro MOD7, 7-string, more than meet my playing needs.
