Does anyone know the way to get a neww or vintage remake trussrod cover for a bass?

You can buy one from just about any Rickenbacker dealer... of course, you have to figure out what to do with the bass that comes attached to it...

Other than that, ebay is about the only option...
I have NO idea what to do with those skinny stringed things... I'm just a bass player...

Some one told me if you trade in the cover that you have the company sends you a new one...even a broken one ...true or false?

Joe, a genuine used TRC, pristine or broken plus I think $50 gets you a new one from RIC.
JETGLO should officially be renamed JETGLO ROCKS! :-)

I believe you have to send in a bit more than half of one (to make sure you don't try to do it twice). And then they do charge a fee, not sure how much though. Call or email RIC and they'll tell you for sure...

It's actually very easy. I recently swapped out a black TRC for white. Just contact RIC customer service and they'll guide you through it. Yes, you do need to return an original TRC (mine was broken but taped together) and the cost is $50.00 plus shipping. Very nice folks to deal with. (Kenny helped me out)
