75th anniversary slideshow music on RIC page
Hi,
anyone can give me the hint what music is playing there? I think I read somewhere it's The Smithereens, but if so, which song? Thanks,
Michael

The music is excellent, and the album is a favorite of mine. Pure jangly Rickenheaven.

I did an instrumental mix of this song (and added some content) for another project and am happy for anyone to download it:

Glad you have enjoyed it. There's a new Hautewerk CD currently in production; should surface next year along with another little side project CD. There's also a DVD that's been long in the can, Hautewerk at The Yost, but with Kenny off in another direction I'm not sure there's much point in releasing it.melibreits wrote: The music is excellent, and the album is a favorite of mine. Seems to me like you put alot of work into that. I think many would enjoy it.johnhall wrote:There's also a DVD that's been long in the can, Hautewerk at The Yost, but with Kenny off in another direction I'm not sure there's much point in releasing it.
JETGLO should officially be renamed JETGLO ROCKS!
Re: 75th anniversary slideshow music on RIC page
Surely Kenny can still participate on recordings by sharing files with you over the Internet? Playing gigs might take some special planning and organising though. I suppose that's the more difficult part.rickenbrother wrote:Seems to me like you put alot of work into that. In any event I concur with Joey. You should release that CD.

I love the remix, John. That song will forever be the soundtrack to my memories of the 75th Anniversary weekend.johnhall wrote:Hopefully you asked because you liked it!casinoman wrote:Hi,

They're working on it.8mileshigher wrote:Count me in as one who would enjoy another Hautewerk release !

We're working on it. While we've had 13 tracks down for quite awhile, it's been tough getting everyone together for the final touches given that all of the band except me earn their living playing music, which is to say gigs come first for them.8mileshigher wrote:Count me in as one who would enjoy another Hautewerk release !
Kenny's keyboard work has also had to wait until his trips out here. Then there's the matter of the guest artists who play on this CD, who include Marty Willson-Piper and Roger McGuinn. Peter Buck and Scott McCaughey also have also been a bit busy to add their bits to the track we wrote specially for them.
Actually, both the original Hautewerk tunes as well as previews from the new CD have been getting some regular airplay during the weekday 10AM-3PM slot on Laguna's KXNR 93.5 which you can listen to here http://KX935.com or through the iPhone TuneIn app. Doesn't hurt that our own Jason Feddy is the DJ . . .

Yeah, I try and listen daily and have caught a couple Hautewerk tunes. I enjoy that station.johnhall wrote:Actually, both the original Hautewerk tunes as well as previews from the new CD have been getting some regular airplay during the weekday 10AM-3PM slot on Laguna's KXNR 93.5 which you can listen to here http://KX935.com or through the iPhone TuneIn app. Doesn't hurt that our own Jason Feddy is the DJ . . .
Seems to me I also heard them say RIC is a endower of the station - kudos.
