McCartney's Ric in an ITV documentary

Post by ilan »

A new British documentary on the album Band On A Run. During the long interview, the Ric is right behind Sir Paul.

It's hangin' with his Casino and Texan.

That's alot of history in one snapshot!
Watch those teeth, Marlin. I'm not sure we've properly sedated the beast . . .

Is that "the" Texan? I remember it being a righty.

Both the Texan and the Martin are righty.

I saw both personally. McCartney even showed me the difference between a replica Texan (with exact "relic" like the original) and his old one, by putting them next to each other. The relic job is very realistic and looks identical to the original, but the pickguard is the giveaway. On the reissue it's a slightly darker brown and doesn't look as "faded" and yellowed as the real old one.

it's the first time in a long time that it's made any type of appearance - there's still some hope alive...

On the edge of the bass? Nah, just a shadow. See it doesn't continue up the horn.
