Handrest for bezel?

Found some strange mod in the German ebay:

Besides the unusual but "original" bezel

there is als a non-original bridge cover.

The bridge cover looks a lot like a modified Fender bass PU cover like the one on my 1972 Jazz. Looks like it has been cut away to accommodate for the mute adjusters.

and that metal bobbin cover that is bent over the magnet structure down to the mounting plate...you can still see the adjust screws/springs and possibly the rubber magnet, somewhat. wonder how it's attached ?

Ronald, that is actually the ususal handrest of the bridge-PU

. It fits perfectly under the springs.

No clue on the oversized guard, but Ric has used slotted screws in the past.
