The whole lotta love scene stood out for me as well. Particularly, the look on their faces. You could clearly see the gears turning in their heads at the realization that an Icon was mere feet away playing one of Rocks all time anthems. It easy to see why anybody would be mesmorized by Page. I remember a recent interview Alex Lifeson did on CBC where he spoke of the time Page and Plant played in Toronto and Alex and Geddy got to go back stage. Alex described himself as partially hiding behind Lee and whispering to Geddy, while pointing at Jimmy "OMG there's Jimmy Page"

I think it's great that Jimmy Page does his stuff with a Danelectro Shorthorn, two lipstick PUs.

Wonder if it's vintage or reissue?

Also nice to see Jimmy using an old Orange Amp. Wish he'd shown us White Summer though...

I went to see that movie as fast as I could, and came out with much more admiration for Jack White, and a bit less for Edge. I am still a fan of U2, but the 80s work was much more guitar, fewer effects based; at least to me.
Jack White obviously borrowed heavily from the Flat Duo Jets. I remember those to cats in college...
I bought that movie as soon as possible too; probably watch next Sunday since the thought of Steelers/Packers pains me! Make that viewing "twice."

Addendum: As per original post; I wonder why this deleted scene hit the cutting room floor. Perhaps there are many! I guess taping hours and hours and hours of footage, then condensing down to about 2 hours must be tough!
