My New 330/6

Post by bcalvanese »

Never owned a Rickenbacker before, and I just got this a few days ago, and absolutely love this guitar.

Here is a small test clip (please forgive my lack of talent)...

And here are some pics...

A great first RIC... Enjoy what is sure to be the first of many! Very nice fireglo too - the paint shop just keeps getting better and better!

Don't forget to add it to the register with some images!

Welcome to the forum Bob, as you now know the 330 is a great guitar to play and it does not hurt that it is such a beautiful iconic instrument either does it? :D

Btw, I am a huge fan of the FG finishes that the factory is producing these days.

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone.

Over the past 5 years or so I have gotten back into guitar playing. In addition, I started wanting to learn more about guitars. Big mistake!!! The more I learned, the more compulsive I became, and the more I traded one guitar for the other. I couldn't even tell you how many guitars I have owned and traded away for the next one, or how many baths I took at guitar stores in doing trade in's. When I go to open mic's all my friends would take bets on what guitar I would have this month...:) They would joke-ingly ask me... Think your gonna keep this one bob?

I would laugh and say... Maybe... or maybe not. I would never say definately yes, because I know how compulsive I am when it comes to guitars.

After getting this guitar, I have told all the friends I have seen so far that this is the guitar I am going to definately keep, and that is something I would never admit to anyone before.

My search/quest is over...:)

I'm right there with you, Bob! I'm a bit of a horse trader myself. I have to admit, more than one RIckenbacker has fallen prey to my wandering eyeballs.

That is a beautiful 330, though! I hope you do hang onto this one

:D :D ...through good times and bad times until ...... there are some guys here stating to take their Ricks with them into the coffin.....and some folks will have to take place in a container after starting with one Rick...

Welcome, Bob! As the others have said, that's a beautiful Fireglo and a great guitar to start your 'Rickenbacker journey' on ... BTW, the sound clip sounded fine! :)
