Rick 370.....

Post by DonnaJUean »

.

Hi Gang!

I'm Donna Jean.

I have a beautiful late 60's 370 model....
I bought it in about 1973-74...don't remember....

But, I've played that bugger for over 40 years and it is still in beautiful shape....
How can I go about finding out the exact year of Mfg. on my girl?

I really do appreciate any help!

I have NO idea what to do with those skinny stringed things... I'm just a bass player...

Donna Jean
Welcome aboard the RRF from another 370 owner ! :)
You can go to the Ric company website http://www.rickenbacker.com/service_serials.asp
and click on the "Serial Number decoder" and enter the serial number from your jackplate and it should tell you when it was made.

Welcome, Donna Jean!

As Rich said, the serial number (something like GF 1276, two letters/alphanumerics plus 3-5 numbers) entered into the decoder at the Rickenbacker factory web site will tell you what you need to know.

BTW, we love pictures of Rickenbackers, so if you have a digital image of the 370, we'd love to see it!
