I'd be interested in that, as a big fan of shorties. I'm not holding my breath, however.
All I wanna do is rock!

Re: Anyone else want a 320/12 C series ?
How many people would actually buy one?
Not only has this been done before, but I'd rather see a more popular reissue, like a Capri or F, than another obscure Beatles guitar.
If Rickenbacker ever make another reissue.
Just my $.02...

I'd rather see a 1993/12 reissue or 360/12C65 in mapleglo rather than another Beatles guitar.
Plus, they made a limited edition of the 325/12 in 1999, Matt Bowling owns one.

I'd rather see a ........................(fill in the blank)...........................reissue than any other guitar on the planet.
This is because, like everyone else, I have personal preferences, too. So I know they'll sell at least one.

But I would want one in the C series.
Re: Anyone else want a 320/12 C series ?
I ordered one of those 325/12v63 when they were announced at NAMM in 1999. It may have been the summer NAMM, but I remember that it arrived in early January 2000. The serial number is from late 1999. It was one of the first Rics to get the scatterwound toasters, along with Carl Wilsons from that same period. There were only about 130 for North America and about the same in number in Japan and Europe. I think I only paid about $1300.00 for it brand new! It's a pretty funky little guitar.

Other than toasters, what would be the difference between a 360/12C65 and this one?JakeK wrote:I'd rather see a...360/12C65 in mapleglo rather than another Beatles guitar.

I would think the number of frets would be 21 instead of 24 and the top would be thinner.jimk wrote:Other than toasters, what would be the difference between a 360/12C65 and this one?JakeK wrote:I'd rather see a...360/12C65 in mapleglo rather than another Beatles guitar.

Plus slim headstock without slot-though and crushed inlays.

Re: Anyone else want a 320/12 C series ?
I'm biased towards double bound models, of course, but wrt to the hypothetical 360/12 C65, there were a lot more of those made back in the day than the O.S. models; wouldn't an original be price-competitive with what a RI would cost? And, given the choice, would you really prefer a "new style" 21 fret 12 string over one like George's, given the same basic construction features of X bracing, thinner top, and neck/headstock features that give the guitar its sound? Even McGuinn himself went looking for an O.S. model like Harrison had when he sought out his first 12 string, and only settled on the N.S. 12 when he couldn't find a double bound model.
I don't think there will be another 320/12 factory model in the foreseeable future; the market is just too limited relative to everything else Rick makes and its factory capacity wrt production, unless there's a one-off, or another Shinsedo type anniversary run.

Keep in mind, these would all be in the V series, C series are specifically Beatles guitars.
In My opinion, a more resonable one, I would just like to see RIC continue with the Color of the Year thing.
My dream though, Is a 4001V61 all of the cool vintage stuff on it!
