A new project: a 1973 360/6 JG

Post by Kees »

This one was owned by a guy who only bought the guitar because there was a guitar strap on it that was once in the possession of John Lennon. The guitar strap is in the Beatles museum in Haarlem, the Netherlands. The (slightly) maltreated 360 is now mine. It's from november 1973 and had some lacquer issues and binding-separation problems. Most importantly, the neck and fingerboard were fine. It is now in the hands of Sander de Gier (Schiedam), who just finished the first step in restoring this guitar to its original specs: putting on the binding.

I'll keep you posted,
Kees

Kees: Thanks for bringing this one back to life. Please take the time to put it in the Register once it is complete. :)
Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm

Will do, Peter, thanks. I will have to update the info on some of my other Rick's anyway...

Best wishes,
Kees
