Rick 325 JL Question

Post by LenMinNJ »

Does anyone know why so many of the 325 John Lennon models came with fixed tailpieces instead of vibrato units? You'd think they would be labelled 320s but they're not.

Does anyone know how many came with vibratos and how many with the fixed tailpieces?

Of the 20+ 325 JL models listed on the Register with photos, all but one appear to have vibrato units: http://www.rickresource.com/register/in ... celebrity=

Bacon and Day Rick book says 974 325 JLs were produced; "separate vibrato tailpiece" is listed as standard for that model.

Most (if not all) 355 JL models, however, had fixed TPs.

Are you saying the B&D book shows that they came with both tailpieces -- fixed and vibrato? Anyone know if that's right?

Over the years I've had three of 'em, and all of them came with only the fixed tailpiece.

IMO, they were all 320s!
