Happy Solstice!

Post by cjj »

For those in the southern hemisphere this marks the beginning of winter. For us in the north, it's the beginning of summer.

Now, if the weather would just start behaving like it's summer. We actually got a bit of snow two days ago...
I have NO idea what to do with those skinny stringed things... I'm just a bass player...

1:16 PM east coast time.... also a CRM even on the sun today so if you are around the Mason-Dixon line (or north), keep your eyes on the northern skies Wed thru Fri nights. You just might see something!

For those who missed the gathering at Stonehenge, this might help.

Kinda'--I live in Denver, and most doom-and-gloom forecasts end up reflecting much more heavily on the mountainfolk who live at 2 miles altitude. I don't think us metro types got any snow. I can't speak to the Colorado periphery though, beyond the nearest stretch of the Rockies, as I don't pay that much attention. I do know Breckenridge is getting snow almost year round it seems!

The summer solstice marks an interesting point for me this year, because a couple of weeks ago after talking with my boss and a scientific collaborator about a big experiment to study cystic fibrosis, my boss looks at me and says, "Well, we know what you'll be doing this summer!" So here's to the next three months or so...
