Refinsh and hardware change

Post by clearblue »

Would it detract the value to refinish a 20 year old white BT 350 Liverpool and change the hardware to chrome? I was thinking of having it refinished in white or white pearl.

Depends upon two things:

1.Whether you're planning to sell it to a Rick enthusiast, or to a guitar store or anyone who wants to play pricing games.

2. Who does the refinish, and to what standard.

This is a very rare 350, and if you do it, do it right. Save the black hardware and plastic in any event.

Thanks Paul. :D I plan on keeping the guitar and would have you do the refinish.
