Very nice!

Did you lose the blend knob on purpose?

Me.

I also did the binding work. Larry Davis built the CP fretboard.

Nice work gents........ :D Collin how did you manage to preserve the finish adjacent to the routes for the binding?

I didn't have a table router set up at the time, so Larry routed the binding channels carefully and I bound it with full masking of the adjacent finish. Spent way too many hours carefully binding it, and spot amber finishing on the binding only.

I have a photobucket folder documenting it, somewhere....I'll find a link.

Thanks Guys,

Yes, I like the 50's vibe of 4 knobs, at the suggestion of Chris at POTR's, I used a bass harness that has a push/pull pot to bring the .0047 cap in and out. Electronically (ie pots and wire) the harness is the same as a guitar harness. I may eventually go back to 5...

Also the upper guard is flat which is another sort of 50's vibe, and I am not sure if I'm gonna fix that or not.

Yeah, the upper guard on '58 capris generally did not have the "indent" between the pickups; that started to show up in 1959.

The inlays are beautiful! I love the way the crushed pearl looks on old Rickenbackers.. stunning feature. It looks so different that I was really blown away the first time I saw a guitar that had them in person.
