Sorry if this has already been posted, but I've only just found it.

If there isn't a 12 string Rickenbacker playing at my funeral, I'm leaving.

That same guy also posted a version of The Jam's Eton Rifles with his chrome 330

He also has quite an impressive collection of custom-painted Rics.... checkout his other videos. 8)

It's alright I suppose, but I prefer a FG Rick for that song

I mainly posted it because I really liked it. Especially with the black hardware. I've always said that women love diamonds and men love chrome, which proves that women are smarter than men. :)

I'm not a huge fan of people playing along with the recordings - It's harder for me to hear the intended recording over the song. :? Nice guitar, though! I wish I could distinguish the sound.

Does it say what year that thing is?

Robbie Robertson had one of his Strat's bronzed, as in dipped in liquid metal. That would be the bees knees on a 330.

I would guess that the bronze was probably cold-metal-sprayed.

This "chrome" 330 looks to be Alsa-coated. Alsa is chrome paint that's pretty convincing.

I said dipped because that's how Robbie described it. He said he took it to a place that bronzed baby shoes, and that the guitar was dipped in and right out again. This could just be misinformation on his part, though... I doubt he was there for the process.

Considering that molten bronze is somewhere between 1200°F and 1700°F (depending on the alloy), it would be tough to "dip" a chunk of wood into it with it bursting into flames...
I have NO idea what to do with those skinny stringed things... I'm just a bass player...

Yeah, I'm sure Robbie and all the people around him were stoned at the time, so the story got exaggerated.

That chrome looks pretty cool!

I'm usually into mostly the vintage vibe so I'm not sure I could do it (or more accurately, have it done) to one of my Ricks; but if I saw one all ready to go...........................

Call me tacky but I actually really think that is super cool with the black hardware. Not usually into ostentatious but this is wicked! :P
