He was punishing the hell out of that Ric. Could not understand one word he was singing. They sure did have a lot of stacks for a gig in a record store.

The bassist, Al Cisneros, is a really nice guy and a Ric bass nut. I dealt with him a time or two at Ric.

Yeah, Al is one of the nicest guys you will ever meet. OM is currently recording a new album and he is using quite a few different Rickenbacker basses. One being a 5 string.kennyhowes wrote:The bassist, Al Cisneros, is a really nice guy and a Ric bass nut. I dealt with him a time or two at RIC.

Re: OM
One of my Bay Area favorites and a big reference for Ric "tone". Al and his former band SLEEP just did a few shows this summer (there's a small thread in the Artists section). Thanks for the heads-up on new Om material. Probably just gonna "feel'" the songs done on the 5-stringer, huh?notviceversa wrote:Yeah, Al is one of the nicest guys you will ever meet. I thought I recognized his name. I have one Sleep album. It is HEAVY. I grew up in the same city as him. San Jose, CA.
