Hello-I am the Funky Chicken.
I registered due to a renewed interest in Rickenbacker instruments that was triggered by watching the Tom Petty documentary.
I realize that I need to add at least one Rick to my collection-I probably should have held on to the three I owned in the past-
360/6 in Bright Red with Black Trim and Plating bought in '89 and sold a few years later
330-12 JG bought and sold around that same time
4001 produced in around '78 that was Jetglo with black pickguard and truss tod cover-instead of white binding it had a very narrow white line
painted on the edge of the body. I bought that one used and it had a headstock repair when I got it-sold it a couple of years later to get a
Steinberger L-2 (don't shoot!).
My first buy will definitely be a 12 string-anyone have a 660-12 in Desert Gold or Blue Boy lying around? :D

Welcome aboard the RRF Tom. There are probably lots of members who wished they had held on to some of their Rics from prior years.

After you have 30 posts and have established yourself on the Forum, you will be able to enter the Marketplace section and could then post for a Ric Wanted. In the meantime, search around the Forum, and read up on stuff and get yourself acquainted with everyone. It's a great place :D

You should also check with several reputable, prominent on-line Ric dealers for specific models/colors. Pick of the Rics, Wildwood Guitars, etc. A list of dealers is on the company website.

I'll echo what Rich said, and welcome aboard, Tom, glad Petty and Campbell are getting you back on the Ric train!

Welcome to the forum. It's a friendly group here.

Btw, when you get a chance please peruse the rules of the forum. There are only a few so it's light reading. :D

Tom, I sent you a PM with a few 660-12 models I saw when perusing a few on-line dealers.
Like Jingle-Jangle indicated, those "easy to find colors" may be a challenge !

Welcome to the Forum! Good luck finding Your Ric 12. Ebay always has a nice selection as does NorthCoastMusic & Pick Of The Ricks.

Oh man, sounds like it had pinstripe binding! Very rare...yes, you shouldn't have sold that one!
