String suggestions for 345

Post by abluesky »

Soon enough, I'll be the owner of a 345 (68') as I'm paying it off as quick as possible. Since it's at the shop, any suggestions for string selection/styles for this model. I'm real familar with the short scale guitars, not so w/the standard size. I was thinking flats but still was hoping for some specific suggestions.

Thanks again,
Chris E.

Since you like flats and are (probably) accustomed to the slightly larger gauge of a short scale set, I recommend D'Addario ECG24 flat wounds, 11-15-22w-30-4-50. I use them on some of my guitars (Rickenbacker and others) and I really like the sound and feel.
