Interactive Guitar Review

Gotta love 'em for tryin' ... reviewing a Rickenbacker 330/12.. but not too keen on details.

If you have the patience to follow the magazine link.. ( moderator: this isn't a link to another forum.. but if providing any link is not allowed.. you can delete the link. or this post as necessary )

http://www.licklibrary.com/news/2011/9/ ... 4__out_now

once the magazine is open.. there is a contents tab. and a review of the RIC 330/12 with a video.

I get a kick out of the video clip comments.. :

1) only the upper bout is hollow.. lower bout is solid
2) The "R" bridge was designed for easy string changes.
3) Individual saddles for each string ( granted it's possible.. but I believe this is an off the shelf 330/12 )
4) Normal position tuners are for regular 6 strings.. Tuners that jut out the back.. are for the octave strings
5) While older RICS were often strung with the octave string on top giving them that classic RIC sound.. modern RICS are strung with the regular string on top. and that still sounds good.
6) The sampling of the Blend control was done with just the Rhythm pickup selected.. again.. it offers some variance.. but my typical blend control is with both pickups.

as noted: Review was complimentary of RICS.. quality and sound.. plenty of kudo's

just not truly familiar with RICs !
