PM-ing question: has a PM in my "outbox" been sent?

Hello:

I wonder if one of you fine folks could educate me.

Usually, when I send a PM to someone, it shows up immediately in my "sent" folder.

However, right now, I've sent 2 PMs to the same guy, and both of them are NOT in my "sent" folder, but rather in my "outbox."

SO......have these 2 messages been sent? If the other guy checks his PMs, will he see these 2 PMs?

Or are they in some state of limbo? Or.....?
