Nice present. But what's the bass doing in the picture?

Look at the rear strap button, you were lucky the photo shoot ended before the bass could have smashed to the floor...

No, it's a set neck 4001S LH. Note the skunk stripe on the headstock.

That's quite an elf you have there!

Congrats!! I've posted this sentiment here before and I'll say it again, some of the best gifts I've ever received were purchased for me, by me!! :D That trend continues this Christmas as well. My Christmas gift to myself will arrive tomorrow via UPS in the form of a very big box with something very Jetglo inside. :D :D

Merry pre- Christmas to me!

That why all my Ricks have straplocks installed. I don't care what year or model, they have them!

Congrats to you also, Sepp! Post pics when you can! :)

Joey, Will do!! As soon as I fondle it a bit and wipe the drool from her!! :D :D

As for strap locks, only my 2011 4003 has them installed. I guess I should put them on the others as well but a bout a week ago, I was playing and after one song the front lock disengaged. I had a firm grip on the neck but it still startled the hell out of me and sent my heart racing. Now I double check each connection carefully. I must not have seated the strap end properly.

Strap looks like its coming off, I just folded the tail of the strap back. Its securley on there. Very nice strap that cost me $50. I think rickenbacker strap buttons on one of the best of any bass. never had an issue
