Lennon's 58 grover tuners ?

Post by Davegilmour »

Were the tuners on Lennon's 58 325 original to the guitar ?

If so when did rickenbacker do these tuners too and from ? And were they only found on certain models?

Many thanks

Yes, they were original.

Rickenbacker used Grover 'Sta-Tite' open back tuners for the '58 325s, and they were also used on many Rickenbackers of the day.

Another mfg. that used them was Martin, and the 'Sta-Tite' also had different button shapes to choose from.

They were used by the company up to at least 1961...I had a '61 450 that used them.
