4003 Buzzing on A string
A couple weeks ago I put Fender 9050L flatwounds on my '86 4003 that used to have half rounds on it. I adjusted the neck (by tightening) to make it mostly flat. I can slide a piece of paper or two under the E and G string when I hold down the first and last fret. Only on the A string when I play from around the 9th to 12th frets do I get a buzz that is audible through an amp. The rest of the strings and frets are fine. I tried raising the bridge ending up to the point where the bass was uncomfortable to play and I still get the buzz. Suggestions? Thanks.

Welcome, Hayden!
Sounds like you just have some slightly high frets, any competent repair guy/luthier can take care of that.
