VOX T-60

Post by Memphis Blue »

Did not really know what category to ask this question...butthis looks like the best one.
Has anyone tried to put a 15" speaker in the VOX T-60 combo? I just scored one on Craigslist and it sounds really good but I think a 15" speaker would make this thing boom. Anyone got any info/ideas or comments?
Thanks in advance
Jeff

I doubt there's enough room there for a 15. You'd probably need to build a custom cabinet, if you want to keep it down to one piece. Plug in an external 15" first, and see how you like it, before you go too far.

A cabinet is normally designed around the specs of the specific speaker(s) that was originally loaded in it. Putting a different speaker might not work out so well.
Don't be surprised if this thread gets moved (not by me) to Forum 51 - The Quest For Tone, in the Vibrola Section.
