This is the kind of news that's inspiring to hear. (Too bad the gear stolen from Mitch Easter was never tracked down.) Now Tom can go on playing that lovely 1966 MG 360/12 at his shows! A happy day for all Ric players and legions of Tom Petty fans!

And on a positive note we ended up with the serial number to Tom's RIC in the register! Glad to hear he is getting his guitars back!!

Which is bound to increase the value of other August 1967 MG 360s!!!

The thief did indeed walk into a pawn shop and sell the Gibson SG for $250!!!

Petty's management and the police credit the social media and people following the theft as the reason for the quick recovery...

I am sure Tom must be relieved that his cherished instruments have been recovered. Anything but a petty matter. Time to beef up security.
