I saw Doug live a couple of times in the 1980s. The Dillard and Clark CDs are pretty good.

Thanks for the youtube tip. It's interesting the link all these guys had between themselves with the development of country rock in the late 1960s. My understanding it was a reaction from the failure of the peace/love/psychedelic phase- everyone was trying to "get back"- whole earth, back to the land, traditional, etc. I think Dylan did his Nashville recording then. John Hartford with his seminal "Aeroplane" recording, Dillard/Clark, the whole Byrds/Flying Burrito Bros./ Country Gazette connection (Clarence and Roland White). Graham Parsons. It was quite the melting pot of ideas and collaborations when you really dig into it. That whole phase is one of my favorite genres of music. And the Dillards were the ones that were at the forefront of it all.
