Are Rick Guitar Stand Cases Discontinued?! DOH!

Post by paologregorio »

My current five-slot guitar stand case is on its last legs.

I am now working at a decent job, and after savings, can afford a new spiffy Rick 3-stand case. ... heck, I'll even be able to afford next term's law books without breaking a sweat!

I can't find a Rick guitar stand case anywhere; are they discontinued?

I can find the tweed wannabees, but
a.) I'd rather buy the real deal-a silver Rick case.
b.) I'm not all that crazy about tweed; there's a good reason Fender switched to vinyl tolex. . .

Anyone?
There is no reason to ever be bored.

...why yes, I suppose I do have a double bound guitar fetish...

G&G Quality Case in Los Angeles still makes the 3 guitar case/stand:

I'm not absolutely sure, but since they make the current "Vintage" style cases, they probably made the RIC stand cases too. They do sell to individuals and have a large variety of both interior and exterior materials available, but I'm not sure they would use the "official" RIC silver tolex as it might be exclusive to RIC. Can't hurt to ask though, very nice folks there (another small family run business)...

Check these out Paul, available in black tolex (and aluminium as well) and way more affordable than the Rick version (as cool as they look). I'm gonna be buying one next month myself:

Plus, they hold five guitars!

Interesting, but you need more fingers, looks like they actually hold 6 guitars...

Maybe you could use it for luggage, pack some things in it, come visit, and sell it when you're here. . . :)

Thanks for all of the tips everyone. :D

Since the Ric Guitar stand case is in their 2012 price list, I would contact a dealer and ask them to get one for you; or contact Ric and ask if they can tell you which dealers may have ordered some.

The part number is 94600.

"Guitar stand, resembles Tolex guitar case, holds three guitars"

List is $260.
