Cool! Congrats!

I have NO idea what to do with those skinny stringed things... I'm just a bass player...

A nice RIC factory made one.
It's a stunning guitar.
I think it even had the original Ric strings on it!
Does anyone know what gauge of strings these shipped with?

Where'd you find it?
Re: NGD. 700/12 Comstock Shasta. (2001)
Wow, nice one Rob!
I've always loved the Comstocks. My favorite jumbo acoustic shape, plus a 12-string - wow!

Rob, congrats. Hope it plays as good as it looks!

Congrats, Rob ! Is this the one Darren from Melbourne offered a while ago on ebay? Lovely guitar !
Re: NGD. 700/12 Comstock Shasta. (2001)
Great score, Rob, congrats!
BTW, the rosewood sides and back make it a Shasta (a Comstock is maple all around).

Ah, thanks for that Gary.doctorwho wrote:Great score, Rob, congrats!![]()

I thought Comstock referred to the body shape.
Re: NGD. 700/12 Comstock Shasta. (2001)
Speaking of body shape, were there ever other Rick acoustic models offered besides dreadnaught and jumbo?
All I wanna do is rock!
Re: NGD. 700/12 Comstock Shasta. (2001)
Wow...looks great!! This must be a super rare bird here in the UK - well done Rob!!
Re: NGD. 700/12 Comstock Shasta. (2001)
The model numbers (700 and 730) are what actually specify the body style. Both the dreadnought and jumbo body style were available as maple- or rosewood-back-and-sides variants, so there are two names associated with each body style:fireglo67 wrote:... I thought Comstock referred to the body shape.
Dreadnought
730L Laramie (maple sides and back)
730S Shiloh (rosewood back and sides)
Jumbo
700C Comstock (maple sides and back)
700S Shasta (rosewood back and sides)
Well, technically, yes ... the Jazzbo was in the catalog and pricelist, but there was only one made at the factory and it is in the RIC collection.kiramdear wrote:Speaking of body shape, were there ever other Rick acoustic models offered besides dreadnaught and jumbo?
