Lefty Production question
Has anyone heard when and if Rick are going to produce any lefty models other than the 330 / 360 / 370? I'm certainly not complaining about these being in production first but I want a lefty 660 in Ruby SO bad.
Can't WAIT for the 330 and the 360 i've ordered to come in either. Worth the wait.

Re: Lefty Production question
Just to update my fellow lefties I asked the good folks at Alpha Music in VA Beach to check with Rick on lefty 660 production and it was the same answer as last time sadly. Fingers crossed for the future though and i'll be keeping an eye out for a used one.

Re: Lefty Production question
If I didn't already have a lefty 330/6 mapleglo on order in the USA i'd have had your arm off mate. I've waited so long for lefty Ricks to be available, it's awesome to see so many around.
Re: Lefty Production question
Wow, you want us lefties to pay an extra £600 for a 330/6?
Sorry but I find it hard to justify you charging nearly £2000 for a 330 regardless of their apparent rarity when right handed models are £1399. Rip off Britain indeed.
Re: Lefty Production question
I presume "you" refers to our distributor in the U.K. (a completely independent business from us).
Our suggested list price difference is US $500. Add to that duty, VAT (tax is not customarily included in a US price), and transport.
I won't mention all the other things in the U.K. the distributor has to pay a premium on to stay in business, such as electricity and rates.
I leave it to you to decide what's a rip off.

Re: Lefty Production question
Someone else thought of this awhile back, but I still like the idea of an 'L' tailpiece for the Lefty guitars.
Re: Lefty Production question
So why is said dealer adding £150 to his right handed 330's but £450 to the left handed ones? Do the lefties travel in a different direction across the globe therefore using more fuel or does it take more electricity in the shop to light lefties?johnhall wrote:I presume "you" refers to our distributor in the U.K. (a completely independent business from us).

Re: Lefty Production question
I think that is a question for the dealer, not RIC.RicukStu wrote:So why is said dealer adding £150 to his right handed 330's but £450 to the left handed ones? Re: Lefty Production question
...like, as if the 'R' stood for "Right" instead of "Rickenbacker."
Good stuff... good stuff...

Re: Lefty Production question
It's not for me to say how our customers price their guitars for resale but in this case I'll guess that they do this . . . because they can. These will likely sell out for them within a few days. As such it's the buyers who set the price.RicukStu wrote:So why is said dealer adding £150 to his right handed 330's but £450 to the left handed ones?
