Someone at Fred Gretsch's must have been a big fan of the American Motors Rambler back in the '50s. Their enthusiasm for the compact automobile had to have been the inspiration for the Gretsch 6115 Rambler. The little 3/4 scale Rambler's Lotus Ivory top was similiar to some Rambler auto's paint scheme and the guitar even sported a red truss rod cover which was reminiscent of the Rambler car's taillight. This thing sounds sweet and has a really nice action-very playable, even to guitarists used to the standard guitar scale.
Here's my oldest modeling my '60 Rambler.
