325 Headstock

Post by Medicus1963 »

Hi Everybody and merry Christmas to everybody !

Does anyone know, when the changed at the 325v63 from the wider paddle Headstock to the narrower more period correct Headstock which you can see with the 325c64 ?

Thanks

I believe it was during 1996.

My 1996 Fireglo 325V63 with f hole has the narrow headstock.

From the Register we can see some examples before 1996. Perhaps as early as mid 1994. Time to hear from the Factory or other members of course. Certainly it seems that the smaller headstock was well in place by 1996 but I believe from examples in the gallery that it was earlier. As always one can never rule out a special order or after-market customized work.

Oh, Ho Ho Ho, Peter!

I'm pretty sure that the V63 always had a skinny headstock. Maybe you are thinking of the Liverpool 320/350s.

Hi John,
I am pretty shure that this is not the case, because i owned a 1984 325V63 with the wider headstock, and one from 1992, or so ,with this Headstock too !

Wow, I was way off, lol! So...according to the register, they switched from the narrow headstocks in '84. "84 to me, seems early for a V63 but then I've been wrong before..... 8)
