They're well-stocked with brand-new basses and guitars on 48th Street. Where did you hear that?

Just happened to be looking at the RIC site dealer page... noticed no Sam Ash in NY... then checked VA and FL, same, none! I also see a post on the corp forum referencing them being dropped, but who knows if that is fact or not.

Not that it means anything, but I was in the one at Richmond, VA yesterday, and they had two on the wall. No RIC strings though.

Taking a quick look at a bunch of states on the locator, Sam Ash doesn't seem to show up anywhere, so they may no longer be RIC dealers. Of course, any inventory they have on hand can still be sold.

I do know that RIC recently dropped a number of dealers for various reasons. They also added some new ones, which may not show up in the software until a shipment is made...

Sam Ash is most assuredly still a dealer. The back end system recently went through a software update and chain store locations are not properly being communicated to the server. There's more than 35 Guitar Center stores missing from the list as well, plus a few smaller chains. Some big changes coming on the international distribution front as well.

It's a bit time consuming to get this properly updated at a time when everyone's pretty busy already but we're working on it.

I just visited the old Sam Ash on 48th street NY, and it had a handful of Ricks on the wall, still looks like a dealer to me!

My local Sam Ash has a Jetglo mounted on the wall, out of the reach of greasy grubby hands. Just for kicks, I should ask to "test drive" it and rock it hard, like I know it wants to!! :D
