Fender MIC reducing amount of brands?
Is Fender actively reducing the amount of brands it has?

Are you wondering if squier is on the chopping block?

I confused Faraday's cage, with Schrodinger's cat box....

Squier certainly isn't going anywhere...can you elaborate Werner? Are you talking about Hamer?

There have been rumors surrounding both SWR and Genz-Benz.

Well, they would be mad to ax Squier, Gretsch or Guild imo - rumours has it that with their quadrupplezillion authorised dealers and so many brands they're shooting themselves in the foot, so they're trying to axe brands and dealers.

This is the second year in a row that I have not seen SWR in the Fender booth at the NAMM show.jps wrote:There have been rumors surrounding both SWR and Genz-Benz.
I did not see Genz Benz either, but not all manufacturers go to every NAMM, every year. Genz-Benz is distributed by Kaman, not Fender.
JETGLO should officially be renamed JETGLO ROCKS!

Sure is great that Fender acquired Gretsch, i'm so happy that every trilby wearing hipster in a v-neck sweater is playing a Gretsch now.

Afaik they have secured the rights to produce and market the guitars & drums. The brand still being owned by the Gretsch family.Grey wrote:Sure is great that Fender acquired Gretsch
Fender apparently are not doing well, losing market share big time to other brands like Gibson, PRS, Taylor, Ibanez etc.
Nobody, it seems wants a Fender (or Gretsch) - maybe Fender need to give more free guitars to even more bands!

I'm going to assume there's a bit of sarcasm there, so I'm going to remind you that they could be playing Charvels. It could be worse.
I, for one, think it's great to see people into older guitar designs, Gretsch included.
