another tailpiece paint chip issue !!!
It happend to my 06 jet glow, along the top front of the tailpiece and it's starting to come up at the top front corner of the tail piece on my 2011 jet glow..... No drastic temp changes, well cared for.. I dont get it.... Dealer is going to check into it (I had extra coverage this time) Have a hipshot chromed brass replacement tailpiece orderd, thats how i fixed my 06...

sorry,,, just found simular threads were in the "vibrola rickenbacker technical fourm" which include "odd cracking & flacking paint 2011 4003" and "paint cracking on 4003"...

My '92 V63 had the same thing. The finish on that one seemed very brittle.
