This could be a scam

"1976 Rickenbacker 4000 Bass Guitar" on eBay. The pic is from a 1970 RIC catalog. The description is just three words: "Great Used Condition." Caveat emptor.

Okay, he uploaded new pics, it's a white 4000. So not a scam.

I so want to love those 4000's, they look so cool, but my sound relies heavily on the neck toaster.

Yep. I mostly play with the neck toaster only.

And I already have a 4000.

But the white finish on a non binded Rickenbacker appeals to me...
