Mine was a 1999 4001V63, purchased via eBay, following a 35 year absence of owning a Rickenbacker. I always regretted selling my first one, and have never forgotten its serial number.

I'm just glad to have been fortunate enough to have bought some Ricks recently that fulfill my need, and remind me of the thrill I felt when I bought my first one back in 1975.

First Rick was a 330 MG BT bought around '88 when it was almost new...sadly stolen after about 6 months :(

Second Rick was again almost new when I bought it around '98 time - a 360V64 12....I managed to hold onto that one for over ten years! :D Reason for buying it? The Harrison reissue was always a dream Rick for me so as soon as I could afford to shell out for one I did!! The 360 WBBS guitars are still my favourites 8)

A 325v63 with rewound toasters, bought from a friend's father. And so began the long succession of 325s...

Good question.

First Ric had to be the iconic 360 12 string.
So the second had to be a six string with the classic body style. A 330 fit the bill.

My second Rick guitar was a 75th Anniversary 660; my first was a 660/12 MG.

My second Rickenbacker was a '96 1997. It was on Black Thursday, 1999 and I
was looking for Vox AC-15 to with my 360 when I saw the NOS 1997 hanging on the wall. I was also told and have no reason to disbelieve that the store ordered the guitar for someone who passed away before the it was delivered.

BTW, still don't the have that Vox.

My second rick was my '82 320 that I bought new back in the day and still have. Originally jetglo, it received a makeover in Ruby and checkerboard from Paul a few years ago.

Well my first Ric, ah yes a 4001 bought back in 1982 Jetglo. Then for some stupid reason, (we won't go there) I sold it after a couple of years. Second Ric, 30 years later, a 2011 4003 Jetglo and this won't be sold by me it will be passed on to family.

I purchased my first Rick, a mint condition, 1991 330/12, in red with black hardware, from a small, family-owned music store in 1997, for an unbelievable $600. (The salesperson told me the price was low because the guitar was an unpopular color.) My second Rick was a Fireglo 2010 360/12 I bought from POTR, which I sold two years later to invest in a George Harrison model. My 2012 360/12c63 (the third Rick I've owned) is my number one guitar right now. 8)

First was a '78 4001 BG, sold when I was in college to my pal Chuck, who still has it.

Second was an '80 320 JG, which had (and probably still has) a deep finish check from the neck pickup to the edge of the body, on the bass side. Traded at Thoroughbred Music in Tampa in '87 towards a 350 JG, which was number three for me.

(Currently ISO both of these instruments, for nostalgia's sake: viewtopic.php?f=12&t=410064)

Number four was an '81 370/12, see also viewtopic.php?f=1&t=389730.

Since we are including basses in this guitar section..............

Second Rick bass was a '76 4001 MG, bought brand new. My first Rick bass was a Feb. '67 4005WB JG, bought used 3 years prior to that 4001.

My 2nd was a (guessing) early 70's MG 4001 with Fwi's and CB binding. It was pretty beat up,and i had a friend spray the top in a royal blue. This would have probly been around 1975-6.... I think it got traded in on a '66 CAR Fender Jazz....
