Question about a used 79' 4001...

Post by thelemonsmasher »

Can some of the experts on here give me the downlow on this bass:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/350968079406?ss ... 1438.l2649

Is it a good deal at the price it's at? Does it look to be in good condition? etc.

thanks!

Looks like it's all original, and, in excellent shape!!! It was originally White--or WHT--and has faded into the familiar Banana color that happens over time.
(I once had a Precision bass that did this)

The case looks as if it could be original. Would have to be open in order to tell.

As for price.......4001s are going up in price. The current bid amount is good, but, it's hard to tell where it will end up. $2000.00 would not be unreasonable.

Hope this helps. Good Luck!!!!
