A 660/12 question

Post by Pearlwhite67 »

is the limited edition Tom Petty 660/12 any different than the more recent non limited 660/12?

Other than the writing on the pick guard and the certificate in the case I they look like identical spec to me.

I think TP's came with a silver case instead of standard. I once owned a TP "overrun" which was a standard 660/12 FG in a silver case.

Oh and toasters may differ too, depending on when it was made. Pre-99 are "hot" toasters (non-scatterwound)

Supposedly there are some neck shape differences. I have not played a TP, though. There is a thread somewhere on this site that breaks down the subtle differences.

My 660-12 MB came (used) in a silver case.
