Hi All, i have two B6 bakelite steels. both have the chrome horseshoe pick ups. One measures 1.5" (this is the chrome horseshoe) and one with 1.25" chrome horseshoe. I was recently asked to measure and told that it's the Pickup bobbin that is to be measured, not the chrome cover.
Both pickup bobbins measure 1.25" So in essence are both of my B6 of similar value because the pickups are both 1.25??? Thanks, Mike
BTW, I build AMplifiers.

Welcome Mike!
I have had your website bookmarked for some years now.
The width of the shoes is important, not just the bobbin. Of course, this all depends on why (and which measurement) is desired.
