Hey guys, I hope you can stand a drummer posting here.
I just bought the black 2000 Carl Wilson reissue for the guitarist in my band who is a big Rick fan. I could not know less about guitars in general or Ricks in particular, but I did like the way this one looked. I did some searching here and elsewehere.
I am curious as to what you players/experts think of the quality etc of this piece. Thanks

Hi Terry, welcome!
I've owned many Rickenbackers and one of my favorites was my old 2000 Carl Wilson, which was also black (or what is known as Jetglo). Great playing and sounding guitar - extremely resonant. Excellent choice.

Welcome,
Not the "cheapest Ric to buy... but the best playing Rics I own.
By the way... there are only 500 Carl Wilson's out there!

Re: Carl Wilson Reissue
Of all the guitars and basses I've gone through over the years, the Carl Wilson 360 12-string is the best guitar I've ever owned. Once I acquired mine (in beautiful fireglo), it was extremely difficult to put down. As mentioned by some of the others, it can be on the expensive side, but well worth the price of admission.
