Hi
Sorry to make my first post a dull technical question.
The bridge pickup on my 4003 has lost pretty much all of it's output (even with the amp cranked it is very quiet) but the neck pickup is fine.
However, when i plug into the rick-o-sound output the bridge sounds as it should.
Obviously this rules out a problem with the pickup itself.
Are there any common problems that could cause this in terms of wiring?
Thanks

Is this a new problem? Have you opened her up and checked the solder points?
Re: 4003 - Extremely low bridge output
Welcome, Craig!
Check the contacts on the mono (Standard) output jack; there is a switch that combines the signals of the two pickups at that location. It may be oxidized/tarnished and just needs cleaning.

Re: 4003 - Extremely low bridge output
This could be the mono shorting jack. I really don't care for these, and have redesigned the output jacks to work with a pair of stereo jacks and a push-pull that shorts the stereo output to mono when in. It could also be something touching where it shouldn't under the guard. Take a look under there and make sure everything's in order.
Re: 4003 - Extremely low bridge output
Hey, thanks for the responses.
I took everything apart again earlier and it turns out it was the switch on the mono (standard) output jack that wasn't making proper contact so the signal was only being sent to the neck pickup.
All sorted now though
Should probably have checked the output jack the first time i took everything apart
Craig.
