Found a nice one. Plays well. Nothing I’m willing to trade. If I could grab at 3k is that a reasonable price?

Hi Mark,

Depending on overall condition that looks like it's in the mid-to-high range on the Register pricelist data. That's assuming you're in the US.

https://www.rickresource.com/register/pricelist.php.

It's not an unfair price on face value.

Cheers,

Hi Mark,

From what I can see the 360 V64 was only manufactured between 1991 & 2000, it was replaced by the C63 model. Unless it's NOS it'll probably by a C63. Other differences are discussed here - viewtopic.php?t=397975.

You can run the serial number through the RIC decoder to get an idea of year of manufacture, but basically 7 digits from 1999 - YY MM###. The decoder is on Rickenbacker's site - https://www.rickenbacker.com/serial-number-decoder-2/.

If it's new it sounds a good deal. Is it a 6 or 12?

Cheers,

Sure enough, it has to be used. SN decodes it as a 1999. Thank you.

Based on prices cited in an earlier "wanted" thread, the price seems good. The six-string versions are usually harder to find.

If you don't actually need it, you might point the OP of that thread in the right direction, as he had been (and still is, as of February of this year) searching for one for a long time:

If I don’t pull the trigger, I will. Right now it’s behind the counter until I can get there.

This is the April '98 360V64 I had years ago. Fantastic guitar (not sure why I sold it; probably to fund something else!).

The wife is heading to see her mom today, so I’ll fire up everything to about 100db. Thinks time to play Down in the Tube Station at Midnight
