Ever the contrarian, always looking for the unusual are the reasons (excuses?) which drew me to Rickenbacker guitars. I was recently scanning Youtube for some Rickenbacker players who played some unusual music on their instruments, e.g. country pickin' on a Rick. I mean can you imagine playing Working Man Blues on a 330, or a 620? I can. I didn't find anybody who played that on anything but a Telecaster. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but it's just so usual.
Or how about Keys to the Highway? Does anybody play that on a Rick? Or how about Stormy Monday? OK, so there's Unknown Hinson out there. He did unexpected things on a Rick. So I have to give him props.
But it seems strange to me that certain genres of music seem to be relegated to certain guitar models only. It's a pity.

Guy Picciotto from Fugazi used a 330 and then 370 for playing punk rock, which is somewhat unusual for Rickenbackers.
