Finish blemishes on 2010 Midnight Blue 620

Post by Rickyrules »

Hi all

I'm a bit of a loss on this one.

I love this 620 but the finish does get mucky and stickier way more than my 330, I dont even gig it and it hangs in an aircon room with constant temperature and humidity.

I decided to strip it down and give it a good clean with some microfibre cloths and then put Zymol on it.

However there's a couple of patches that won't shift. I cant tell if that is the finish and the other parts are just dirty or vice versa or whether there's a problem with the top layer of varnish. It's smooth when you run your finger between the two. One patch is in an odd place, below the R tailpiece which would barely get touched by anything.

I've attached some pics, any advice gratefully accepted!

Thanks

Maybe try a mild abrasive like Swirl X?
