Nylon strings

Haven't been at the forum in a long time but I have a burning question. Anyone use nylon strings on their Ric 4001? I'm thinking about giving a set a try but don't want to modify the nut to make 'em fit. Any suggestions out there? Everything I've seen for nylon wraps appears to be a fairly heavy gauge. I'm not sure about the diameter in relation to gauge with nylons. Any help is appreciated.

I had em for a while on my 4005. I don't recall any nut fit problems (different beast, I know) But the sound was heavenly.
