When did RIC drop the w from Glo(w)?
The older catalogs spell FireGlo as FireGlow. When was this changed?
The 1968 catalog at the Rickenbacker web site:
http://www.rickenbacker.com/us/catalogs%2060s.htm
has the spellings without the final "w"; the 1958 catalog has the "w" ending in the names:

RIC doesn't have catalogs in the intervening years posted at its site, but apparently the change in spelling occurred sometime between 1958 and 1968.
And what would my 460th post be without a picture of my 1981 460 BG:

Jeffery, I had to check that one out for myself, but there it is in black and white. We have at least two regular posters on this site who own '68 basses, I wonder if either of them are 21 fret basses... Jeff Rath and dedgoat are the ones, I believe...
