New Blue! (or should I say AzureGlo!)

Post by atomic_punk »

Say hello to my little friend! Image
1976 4001 AzureGlo, some of you saw it on Ebay I'm sure, but I just got my tax refund, my G.A.D. kicked in, and I have always wanted an AzureGlo with the binding and inlay, so I pulled the trigger. I will be changing the TRC for a white one (this one is original, but painted black) and the pickguard will go to a white pickguard as well. Just thought I would share the joy! For a BIN under $700, in this RIC climate, I figured, how can I go wrong? Image

"say hello to my little friend"

Scarface w/Al "Ole Yeller" Pacino and his M16 w/M209 gernade launcher (if I can remember correctly)

He then blows the door open.

It'll look a lot like this when I am done with it! Can't help being excited, it's my first new one in a LONG time...after being on the forum for a while and sharing in the joy of others, I decided it was time to start catching up! ImageImage

White on AzureGlo....IMO the way it should be; not a big fan of the black on blue.

Steve was so excited about his new bass he had to come over to my cubicle and tell me ... then the boss had to tell us to get back to work ... I guess we have to earn money so we can pay for more rics ...

Congrats on the new bass! I was outbid on a 75 Azureglo 4001 back in September of last year.
That's my dream color Rick!

Thanks Chris and Christopher, I guess thinking about your bass "tempted" me into thinking about a new one, and that's one of my all-time dream colors as well! Dennis, I agree with you on the white-on-azure, I like the look of seeing the pickguard, it's such a distinctive shape!

OK, one more post tonight (yeah right), I had an AzureGlo 4003S many years ago, ahh young & stupid, traded it for something far less impressive I'm sure!
