Removing strings

i need to take my strings off to adjust the mute pad in the bridge.
i was told that the truss rods didnt need to be loosened to do this. i do not doubt that as i was instructed from the factory.
i just want to make absolutely sure that this is ok to do...

strings will only be off for the duration of the mute pad repair..15 mins -1/2 hour

You should be able to take all the strings off whenever you want to. Do not touch the truss rods.

the only reason to adjust the truss rods is to adjust the action ...

Some Rickenbackers can go many years without adjustment ...
