Cheyenne arrived

Post by ken_james »

The 4004 Cheyenne I arrived yesterday, I restrung it and have to admit I've become a new fan of the HB1 pickups. It's probably the lightest Ric I've ever played, I can't quite place the tone but it reminds me of a ****** off p bass.

Hi, Kendall.
Care to share some pics of the 4004?
And could you please explain what a ****** off Precision Bass is? By that do you mean the pickups on the 4004 have the kick of an angry mule?

Sergio, that's one way of expressing it! Thanks Dave, they got it out quick, good folks to deal with.

Thanks Paul, I was thinking that a gold TRC would look great on these, what do you think?

That will be an ultra-classy and unique 4004C, Kendall. The gold TRC will make the beauty of the headstock and fingerborad woods shine through even better. I'd say go for it!

Can you get...uh...exchange a gold TRC from RIC or any of the dealers?

Yes, you should go directly through RIC. Contact Kenny Howes. I just sent my gold TRC to him to exchange it for a vintage TRC this past Friday. If I had known you were going to get this fine bass we could have just swapped our TRCs as I was at first considering the white one that you have. Oh Well. I do think the vintage TRC is going to look great on my 4004Cii.

Who would have known? I wasn't even in the market for a 4004, and then Dave tells me about this one, and it's very reasonable pricewise. So I guess I'll be calling Kenny tomorrow about a gold cover.
